Hey there! I'm a laid-back guy interested in leading a meeting a woman who is willing to ease into a new relationship. I'm open and accepting and you will find me the least judgemental person you've ever met. I won't try to change you and I will expect the same.

People who don't know me often miss my attempts to be humorous, yet I have always thought of myself as having a good sense of humor. I guess I'm too obscure or not obvious enough. (Note to self: telegraph the humorous stuff from now on with a blatant announcement like "here comes the joke.")

OK, here it is: if you're looking for a quick connect or someone easy to get into, move on. I have a hard shell, but a gentle and loving nature on the inside. Its all about trust, acceptance and honesty for me. I can promise you honesty and acceptance from me, but I'm afraid you'll have to earn the trust through your own honesty and acceptance.

I can't really pin down my interests for you, they change regularly. Prior to 9/11 I was a regular sports junkie. I still follow the major sports and am a fan of the Yankees, Mets, Giants and Jets. However, my life has changed significantly since that event and I have become more spiritually attuned and more politically aware as a result of 9/11. I still like to relax and have fun, but I'm looking to meet people who can find as much enjoyment in intellectual conversations as in watching the Yankees beat the Red Sox or exploring quirky independent films or oddball TV shows.

I love movies, but hate Hollywood. I am a bigtime movie-watcher and my tastes run strongly in the direction of independent films, cult classics, film noire and the like.

I am an avid reader - read every day. My recent interests have been more non-fiction/history/politics. When I read fiction I usually don't care for contemporary writers and prefer the "classics", but I have recently been reading Philip Roth.

I love music, but with eclectic leanings. My musical interests range from Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa, and from Miles Davis to the Clash, from Van Morrison to Fiona Apple, from Bjork to the Who.

I work full-time, make decent money, but work is not my life.

I have two boys - ages 12 and 15 - who live with me part-time. They are the two greatest people on the face of this earth (I say with modesty).

For better or worse, that's me.
